WORMHARNESS

The worm harness is commonly used for walleye fishing. It consists of a leader with one or more hooks, beads, and a spinner blade, designed to be tipped with bait. The spinner adds flash and vibration, attracting walleye, and other fish. Anglers typically troll or drift with a worm harness behind a bottom bouncer or inline weight to keep it at the right depth. It’s especially effective in warmer months when walleye are actively feeding

There are two sizes.

  • #4 Blade – (about 1″) Spins faster, slightly less vibration, good for faster trolling speeds or clearer water.  Leaders are 36″ 20lb Fluorocarbon
  • #5 Blade – (about 1.25 inch) Slower spin, more vibration, better for murky water or when fish are more lethargic. Leaders are 36″ 20lb Fluorocarbon
